Tommy Williams Appointed to Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission
Thomas G. Williams has been appointed to the Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission, a state constitutional agency created by the adoption of Arkansas Constitutional Amendment 66 in 1988. The Commission strives to maintain public confidence in the judiciary and promote greater awareness of proper judicial behavior. Commission proceedings provide a fair and appropriate mechanism to preserve the integrity of the judicial process. A judge may be publicly disciplined by the Commission and the Arkansas Supreme Court has the power to suspend, remove or involuntarily retire or censure judges based on the recommendation of the Commission.
