QGT Welcomes Houston Downes

Quattlebaum, Grooms & Tull PLLC is pleased to announce that J. Houston Downes has joined the law firm as a litigation associate in the firm’s Little Rock office.  

Mr. Downes comes to us after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Kristine G. Baker, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. 

Mr. Downs earned his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law where he served as the Research Editor for the Arkansas Law Review, received the Judge Thomas F. Butt Legal Excellence Award for Civil Procedure, and served as a teaching assistant for Professor Howard Brill’s Civil Procedure course. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Davidson College. 

Prior to law school, Mr. Downes worked at a startup in Little Rock and launched a startup in San Francisco, California.
