Bio

Katie Calvert focuses her practice on business litigation in both federal and state courts. She has represented clients in a wide range of matters, including breach of contract, construction disputes, deceptive trade practices, unfair competition, intellectual property, employment disputes, premises liability, and insurance litigation.  She is experienced with single party claims, multiple plaintiff and multiple defendant claims, and class actions. Ms. Calvert represents corporate and individual clients, as both plaintiffs and defendants. She is recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Commercial Litigation.

Ms. Calvert earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2019. During law school, she served as Managing Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review and was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society. She was also an active member of the International Law Society and participated in the Vanderbilt in Venice Program, where she studied international law. As part of her commitment to global justice, she contributed to the “Mapping Bashir” project, supporting the International Criminal Court’s war crimes investigation of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir. In addition, she assisted international students in securing equal access to academic resources and volunteered with the Southern Poverty Law Center.

A native of Arkansas, Ms. Calvert earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arkansas in 2015. During her undergraduate years, she was recognized on both the Chancellor’s and Dean’s Lists and completed the highest number of volunteer hours among members of the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. Her leadership roles included serving as Clerk of Pi Sigma Alpha, Community Service Chair of Sigma Alpha Pi, and Treasurer of the UARK Pre-Law Society. She also volunteered with Legal Aid of Arkansas, deepening her commitment to public service and access to justice.
